Human Rights have been an undisputable priority of the United Nations. For years, the U.N strived towards ensuring that people all around the world are able to live their lives, with these fundamental rights. One of these tremendously important rights  is the right to privacy, the right to store and collect private information.  With the advancement of technology in the past few years, thre has been a shift of the way we store our personal information. Nowadays, most of our private lives can be easily stored in a hard drive or even online.  Alongside the flourishing the technological advancements.

 

Espionage has become a huge burden to international relations, especially after  Edward Snowden revealed what the N.S.A activity had been.  Since then, an international debate has sparked, on whether or not online privacy is to be respected.  Physical privacy, with no organs controlling possession , is a given- can the United Nations say the same for online data ? The purpose of the debate is going to be to determine, whether or not accessing of data is a violation of human rights.  Some many countries consider this to be a clear violation, whereas some more prominent states, such as the United States, see this …
